🌹 Basic Rose Plant Care Tips
1. Sunlight
Roses love the sun! Aim for 6–8 hours of direct sunlight per day.

Morning sun is especially great—it dries dew and helps prevent diseases.

2. Watering
Deep watering is best: about 2–3 times a week depending on climate.

Water at the base, not from above—wet leaves = fungal problems.

3. Soil
Roses prefer well-draining, loamy soil rich in organic matter.

A slightly acidic pH (around 6.0–6.5) is ideal.

4. Feeding (Fertilizer)
Feed regularly during the growing season (spring to early fall).

Use a balanced rose fertilizer or one high in phosphorus for blooms.

Compost or organic manure is also amazing for roses.

5. Pruning
Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth starts.

Remove dead, damaged, or crossing stems.

Prune to shape the plant and improve airflow.

6. Pest & Disease Control
Watch for aphids, spider mites, and black spot fungus.

Neem oil or insecticidal soap helps with pests.

Ensure good air circulation and don’t overwater to avoid fungus.

7. Mulching
Add 2–3 inches of organic mulch around the base.

It retains moisture, prevents weeds, and keeps roots cool.

Use a large pot with drainage holes.

Water more often than garden roses (containers dry out faster).

Refresh topsoil and fertilize regularly.
